Why do I have to pay for a day licence?
South African cyclists participating in cycling events that are santioned by Cycling South Africa (CSA) are required to be a CSA member for the year in which the event take place. You must therefore belong to a CSA-affiliated club. If you don't participate in a lot of races and don't want to belong to a club, simply take out a day license when you enter.
If I have entered and paid for a specific distance, can I change the distance before the race or at registration?
Yes, you can. Once the entries have closed and the numbers have been allocated, there will be aa small admin fee to change to a shorter route. If you wish to change to a longer route, and the route isn't full yet, you will be required to pay the difference in entry fee.
If I have entered and paid, but can't ride any longer for whatever reason... can I ask for a refund?
There are no refunds. If you can no longer participate, rather let us know as there are many riders who may want to make use of our formal substitution entry procedure. IMPORTANT: Please don't just give somebody else your number to ride with; it is vital that we have all actual riders' details on file in case in an emergency, and you may be banned from future participation if you give somebody else your number.
